Summer Reading

Has anyone read any books this summer they would like to share and discuss. I have read a variety of books just to get caught up with what is popular so I can make some recommendations when school starts.

Al Capone Does My Shirts

Being new at blogging, I thought I would start with book discussion. This book was read for our Battle of the Books so this is good practice and I hope we get some posts. First, I loved this book. The relationship of the brother and sister was sweet... and frustrating. The end of the books was so uplifting. Although when you think about it, what did Al C. do to get the job done? Do you have to know more about Al Capone to understand the story. Do kids know who he was?
